The color blue represents both the sky and the sea and is often associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Out of all the colors, it is also tested that blue has positive calming effects on the mind and body. Which then leads us to bath & shower, known as the most relaxing part of the day when one can release all inhibitions and stresses from the day.

We all know color extracts derived from vegetables or plants has many benefits, however there are still challenges to address. For example, natural ingredients tend to discolor when exposed to light and fade faster over time. Therefore making them less desirable compared to synthetic counterparts.
Inspired to innovate, Sensient developed Natpure® Xco Sapphire GB606, a biotechnology extract from the fruit of special grade Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, which produces an enhanced active extract with inherent stable blue color. Gardenia is a plant that belongs to the Rubiaceae family native to China and have been part of the East Asian folklore cultures for years, often used for decorative purposes.
